FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most common questions about our dental services and practice.

How often should I visit the dentist?

We recommend visiting the dentist every six months for a routine checkup and professional cleaning. However, some patients with specific conditions may benefit from more frequent visits. Our team will recommend a schedule tailored to your individual oral health needs.

Does teeth whitening damage enamel?

Professional teeth whitening, when performed by a qualified dentist, is safe and does not damage tooth enamel. We use carefully formulated products and monitor the process to ensure your teeth are whitened safely and effectively. Some temporary sensitivity is normal and typically resolves within a few days.

At what age should my child first visit the dentist?

The Canadian Dental Association recommends that children visit the dentist within six months of their first tooth appearing, or by age one. Early visits help establish good oral health habits and allow us to monitor development. Dr. Sharma specialises in making first visits fun and comfortable for little ones.

What should I do in a dental emergency?

Call our office immediately at (905) 555-0178. For a knocked-out tooth, keep it moist (in milk or saliva) and come in within 30 minutes if possible. For severe pain or swelling, take over-the-counter pain relief and apply a cold compress. We offer same-day emergency appointments during office hours.

Do you offer payment plans or financing?

Yes! We understand that dental care is an investment. We offer flexible payment plans for larger treatments and accept all major credit and debit cards. We also provide direct insurance billing to help maximise your benefits. Please speak with our front desk team about your options.

How long does an Invisalign treatment typically take?

Invisalign treatment duration varies depending on the complexity of your case. Most treatments take between 6 and 18 months. During your complimentary consultation, Dr. Park will assess your teeth and provide a personalised treatment timeline and cost estimate.
